  • The chemical formula for calcium lactate is Ca(C3H5O3)2
  • Used as a firming agent in canned fruits and vegetables, and as a sequestrant in processed cheese and other dairy products.
  • It can be found in dairy products and fermented foods, such as cheese and yogurt, however when taken as a supplement it usually does not contain any dairy
